Reginald King

Reginald King truly understands the importance of Regional Center and the services it provides. As a teen, he found part-time work in a residential facility where he witnessed firsthand the importance of South Central Los Angeles Regional Center to its consumers. Now the parent of a SCLARC consumer diagnosed with autism, he continues to be an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and of the regional center.

As a SCLARC's board member, Mr. King hopes to bring his expertise as a Certified Accountant to bear when helping SCLARC implement its long-range financial goals as set forth by the Board of Directors. He also hopes to help colleagues; family members and friends understand SCLARC's impact on the community and its role in improving the quality of life for those who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.

"I want to actively promote SCLARC to those in my realm of influence. Everyone can help to improve the community"s awareness of South Central Los Angeles Regional Center, thereby enhancing its image and helping raise the support we need."

Reginald King is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman College, holding degrees in both Business Finance and Religion/Philosophy. He also is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he attained a Masters in Business Taxation. A member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mr. King is proud to sit on the Oversight Committee for the Compton Unified School Board.
