John W. Harris

John W. Harris is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles, where he received his B.A. and J.D., having served as Managing Editor of the Law Journal. He established the Firm in 1980, after an extensive tenure with the Chief Counsel's Office of the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), where he rose to the level of senior trial attorney, handling Tax Court litigation and prosecuting tax crimes in conjunction with the Department of Justice. In 2003, Mr. Harris was appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles as a member of its Equity Oversight Panel (EOP) for the Sheriff's Department, where he served until the expiration of his five (5) year term in 2008.
Mr. Harris has served as a temporary judge for the L.A. County Superior Court for the past eight (8) years, presiding over arraignments, civil trials and small claims matters. Mr. Harris' enjoys dual roles of attorney and business entrepreneur. He currently owns a transportation company that transports SCLARC consumers, with a daily passenger base of 750.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the U.S. Supreme Court Bar and the National Bar Association, and serves on the boards of the Boys Scout of America and the Martin Luther King Hospital Foundation.
