Ms. Sanchez started her human resources career over 14 years ago and considers herself to be a generalist, working in the non-profit, public and private sectors. She has hands-on working experience in Benefits, Compensation, Classification, Workforce Planning/Recruitment, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Strategic Planning, Training and Development and Workers' Compensation. Currently, she is the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Management for California State University, Los Angeles (CSLA). She has been with the university since August 2003. Prior to joining CSLA, Ms. Sanchez held HR management positions with South Central Los Angeles Regional Center from 2001-2003; Radisson Wilshire Plaza Hotel from 1999-2001; Wilshire Grand Hotel from 1997-1999; and Merv Griffin's Beverly Hilton Hotel from 1995-1997.
Ms. Sanchez holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge and a master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. For years Ms. Sanchez has volunteered her time for many worthy causes. Some projects and organizations include: Current board member for South Central Los Angeles Regional Center, current mentor/volunteer for Buenanueva Foundation, Inc., and former board member for Kids in Solitude. |
