Dr. Sandra Watson is the Chief of Clinical Services. A Los Angeles native, Dr. Watson attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She also holds a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Counseling from California State University, Dominguez Hills, as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. In May of 2009, Dr. Watson signed on with SCLARC as our Psychologist II. In this role, she provided a broad spectrum of clinical services related to intake and eligibility, the coordination of mental health and forensic services for consumers, resource development, and consultation to case management. She has also coordinated psychological and diagnostic assessments, psychological evaluations as well as staff, parent, consumer and provider trainings.

Dr. Watson has successfully served as the Team Leader of the Psycho-Educational Team and provided direct oversight of all team activities including staff supervision. Currently, she has oversight of the assessment and eligibility process and administration of wellness activities as well as coordination of and participation on many multidisciplinary teams and task forces. She supervises the coordination of clinical consultations as well as trainings for staff and care providers. She serves as a liaison with other health care professionals and facilities in the community.
